Please donate and help us, help combat the food and living crisis for families in Northern Cyprus. Many families are struggling to make ends meet. SOS Children's Villages Lefkoşa are working with families across Northern Cyprus battling with poverty. Many families feel so desperate that parents are giving up their children in order for them to have food and sanitation. It doesn't have to be this way.
SOS Children's Villages Lefkoşa- the Family Strengthening Program(FSP) is a 3 to 5 year project working to prevent children from being separated from their biological families by supporting both children that are at risk and their parents. The Family Strengthening Programme involves social workers building strong relationships and working with families in the project, identifying their needs, supporting and helping them get out of poverty. The Family Strengthening Program is evaluated on a regular basis and the development of the families are monitored.
Many earthquake victims have been forced to move away from their homes to other regions in Türkiye and Northern Cyprus. The SOS family strengthening programs in Lefkoşa have seen a 35% increase in the number of families they are helping as more and more families move away from the earthquake to Northern Cyprus. This percentage is expected to increase as more families arrive in Northern Cyprus. Now more than ever your help is needed to help these families in crisis.
The long term impact poverty has on children’s lives can be devastating. Let's get together to prevent it. Help us by donating food and cleaning products and/or money help stop child abandonment and keep families together.
