Our Christmas Bazzar is upon us. Our wonderful volunteers have been preparing ready for Sundays extravaganza. There will be lots of goodies and treats to buy, aswell as fabulous gift ideas. We have a warm and cosy seating area for those drinking and eating our wares and Santa will be there with bells on.
Everything start at 11am until 5pm. Do come and join us.
Lots of wonderful things happening in the next fortnight. We have our annual Christmas Bazzar this Sunday 11th December 2022. Fabulous goodies to be had. Lovely Christmas gift idea on the Zavyadecor stand, colourful thai dye cotton clothing on the Beebs & dells stand, jewellery, aswell as handmade woolen gifts and arts and craft from our TWPA Ladies. We will be selling hot food including Kebabs and homemade baked goods. Did someone say elfs?
Do come and join us it will be lots of fun!
Our Friday centre had some excitment today when police came around to ask the to evacuate the building. They found a WWII bomb in the neighbours garden.
It's been a while since our last blog, we apologise for that. We have been busy doing lots of things though, We arranged 2 Christmas market trips in November/December 2021, Had our annual Christmas Bazaar last year. This year as well as our usual clubs we have had several Sunday afternoon teas and Bayram lunches, Our ladies have gone to the theatre to see My Fair Lady which was amazing over the summer, We had a very successful Summer lunch as well and this month we arranged a wonderful trip to Edinburgh and Rossylin Castle. Our AGM was yesterday and we have a new chair Seyyare Beyzade. We would like to congratulate her on her new post and wish her luck and look forward to all the wonderful things she will be planning for our community. We have several new committee member this year Nazan Mustafa, Fatos Cahit, Hulya Dervis and Duygu Halil, we would like to thank them for volunteering for these posts and look forward to getting to know them all better and working with them. The remaining members include Nurgul Aktekin, Inci Shevki and Havva Beyzade and Hulya Degirmencioglu. Hulya and Havva are our wonderful dedicated oldies who have been volunteering for many years and whom without their loyalty and commitment and enthusiasm the TWPA would not be the great institution that it is.
We must not forget to thank our old chair, Semahat Mustafa, who is still committed to our charity and will now be heading our disciplinary committee. She has been our chair for the last 3 years, and throughout covid was a beacon of light to many of us, our steady oak tree.

Well, what an amazing day yesterday was! It was so wonderful to see so many of you on our special day (46 years of TWPA charity). The thrill on everyones faces, the smiles and surprises of unexpected friends coming in to say hello. I can't express how lovely it was just catching up with everyone and hearing everyones news. The highs, the lows and all that giggling laughter around just brought a lovely warm feeling to the atmosphere. It's funny how we often forget how uplifting getting together and chatting can be. Our Friday social club is open every week for old and new friends please join us again, it doesn't have to be a special occassion, everyday is special when you are with friends.
